This luxury apartment is for the very discerning visitor, here one can experience the luxury, space, and elegance of a contemporary apartment.

This spacious 186m² apartment has stunning panoramic sea-views. The apartment is on the first floor

The lounge and two bedrooms have sliding doors that open out onto a large, sea-facing patio. The large third bedroom faces the passage. This apartment has two bathrooms. The en-suite bathroom has a bath with shower and the 2nd bathroom has a shower and a bath.

The 3 bedroom configuration is equipped with the following:

  • Master bedroom – a king size bed (sea facing)
  • 2nd bedroom – two single beds or a King size (sea- facing)
  • The 3rd bedroom has two x single bed

  2. We Loved the place

    We loved the place. Broken washing machine wasn’t great news – we’d come from the berg with dirty clothes and leaving for UK after this stay. DStv ran out midnight but as we had a late check out that more than compensated.

  4. We Just Loved it

    This is a wonderful modern apartment with exceptional views.
    The finishes and appliances are all modern, new and very sufficient. This address is walking distance from shops, the village and the promenade for your morning runs and was walking distance for our morning runs.. We loved our stay here and Filip was a fantastic host who went the extra mile to make our stay enjoyable.
    I highly recommend this fabulous clean and fresh apartment.

  5. Beautiful apartment with gorgeous views

    My husband, daughter and I had such a wonderful vacation here – the apartment was SPOTLESS and so beautifully furnished and decorated. The views of the ocean are spectacular and 2 of the bedrooms have gorgeous views of the sea so you can make the most of the Umhlanga views. Filip had arranged some lovely treats in the fridge including Lindt chocolate, wine, cookies and essentials like milk and sugar and best of all was the use of Nespresso machine with pods! The apartment also has 2 lovely spacious bathrooms, dishwasher, washer and dryer, microwave, iron, and includes bathroom amenities. The only downside to the apartment for us (others may not be bothered by it) was the very bright corridor light which shines into the 3rd guest bedroom and bathrooms at night time. Luckily we did not use that bedroom and kept the bathroom doors closed so the light wouldnt shine in but if a very bright room at night concerns you, I would recommend bringing portable blackout shades to put on the windows. Otherwise a super, super apartment and we will definitely be back in the future!

    We had a lovely stay, the place is very nice and the accommodation matches up to the pictures on the internet, which many places do not. It has everything you could possibly need. Beds are comfortable. The host is very accommodating.

  7. Quiet, relaxing and a place to recharge your batteries

    Searock is an extremely comfortable and well-equipped apartment. The unit has stunning sea views that can be enjoyed from two of the bedrooms and the lounge. The verandah enjoys morning sun until midday and then there is shade enabling you to take in the picturesque views whilst relaxing on the patio furniture. The kitchen is well equipped with a modern washing machine, tumble drier, dishwasher and Nespresso coffee machine. The unit is serviced every alternate day and the lady is willing to do laundry for a small fee. The unit has a double electric garage together with security present every evening. The location is suitable for all travellers as it is five minutes to the seafront and shops. Filip was the perfect host and provides for all your needs whilst on holiday. We will most definitely visit again!

  8. Searock is an excellent choice for a family staying in Umhlanga

    My wife and 19 year old daughter and I stayed in the Searock apartment for a week, and were v pleased all around. The owner/manager, Filip Engelen, and his wife Priscilla, are v considerate, attentive, responsive and very professional. The pricing is moderate and affordable. The apartment is a beautifully decorated and maintained three bedroom, with a reasonably well equipped kitchen, a large living and dining area, an expansive terrace, and a spectacular view of the Indian Ocean. WIFI is good. All appliances are quite young in age, the apartment comes with an individual locked garage space for a car. Someone comes to clean every other day, and is open for a modest price to do laundry. Security for the apartment building is quite reliable . A lovely walking path on the ocean begins at the base of the hill, and is either a short walk from the apartment or a short drive to a parking lot at the base of the trail. Getting into the village is simple, by foot, by car, or by Uber. Oyster Box and Beverly Hills Hotel are both nearby, both have exceptional restaurants and great views. Be sure to make reservations in advance. The commute to downtown Durban is 15-20 minutes and easily navigated. The commute to Shaka International Airport is a simple 15-20 minute drive.

  10. Lovely apartment

    Perfectly located, this apartment is spacious and comfortable and was just right for our family of 5 including three young children. The beds were very comfortable and the maid washed the linen and towels every second day. The apartment was spotless upon arrival and Filip the owner was always on hand to help us with any queries. We had a wonderful holiday and would definitely come back. If you’re looking for a place within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants with stunning sea views then this is for you. The only thing we missed was that the apartment was not within walking distance of a swimming beach so we had to drive every day – but it is literally a 2 minute drive with ample parking. We would definitely come back!

  11. Sehr gute Self-Catering Unterkunft mit fantastischen Ausblick

    Wir haben den Besitzer Filip als einen sehr freundlichen und aufmerksamen Vermieter kennengelernt. Der Ort Umhlanga ist sehr touristisch orientiert, sodass sich viele Bars und Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nähe befinden. Die Unterkunft ist sehr komfortabel ausgestattet. Die tolle Veranda mit fantastischen Blick aufs Meer überzeugt. All in all a great place to stay!

  12. Sacious , modern with an excellent view

    The service was punctual and very friendly. The apartment is spacious , very clean and luxurious. Full cable TV and a top kitchen and linen, combined with a wonderful patio makes it almost difficult to leave the apartment. The life of Umhlanga is close by.

    We received excellent, friendly and personal service from Filip who went out of his way in arranging our stay at Searock. The apartment itself is spacious and beautifully furnished, with picturesque views of the ocean from the bedrooms and lounge which open onto an equally generous balcony. Perfectly situated in a quiet residential area, the unit is a comfortable stroll from the beach and a short drive to the village and shops. We loved the peaceful atmosphere of this home away from home!

    Ideal holiday apartment for family of differing needs. Close enough to the beach for the young adults to walk and far enough to be away from the maddening crowd. Large balcony with great view of the sea. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Tastefully furnished. Filip and Priscilla gracious hosts. Good security. Would recommend to family and friends.     We had an extremely enjoyable stay in this apartment . It was quiet, secure, comfortable and very well equipped . The view from the sunny verandah was lovely overlooking the ocean. Filip, the owner was attentive to our needs . We can highly recommend this holiday accommodation.

  17. Expectations exceeded!

    We loved our stay at Searock. The 3 bedroom apartment was clean and spacious and had everything we needed for our 4 night stay. It is close to the shops and within walking distance of the beach. The stunning sea view from the patio and two of the bedrooms made it even more special. Filip and Priscilla are always very accommodating every time we stay at one of their units and their service is five star! When we visit Umhlanga we phone them first!
